Automation Engineer – n8n & API Integrations

We are a U.S.-based consulting company working with law firms and service-based businesses. We build backend systems, automation, and workflows.

This is a contractor role. Project-based until skills are proven.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Build cross-platform automations connecting multiple tools
• Design data pipelines (PhantomBuster ? Apollo ? Sheets ? GHL)
• Integrate applications via REST APIs and webhooks
• Build reporting automations (Stripe ? spreadsheet ? tracking)
• Troubleshoot and debug workflows with full error handling
• Document all automations with SOPs upon completion
• Update task notes and progress inside ClickUp

WHAT YOU MUST KNOW

• n8n (required — production experience only)
• REST APIs and webhook structure
• Data mapping and field formatting
• JavaScript or Python for custom logic
• OAuth, pagination, and rate limit handling

YOU WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED IF

• You only know Zapier or GHL automations
• You cannot explain how data moves between systems
• You have no multi-platform build examples
• You cannot write or explain basic API logic
